Georgia Man Charged After Leaving His Grandma in Freezer to Die

Police in Floyd County Georgia have accused a man of putting his grandmother in a freezer and leaving her to die.

29-year-old Robert Keith Tincher III was charged with murder, aggravated battery and concealing a death of another after police discovered 82-year-old Doris Cumming's body on Thursday.

Cumming's family thought she moved out of the state but reported her missing when no one heard from her. Police believe that Cumming fell in the fall but instead of getting medical attention Tincher put her in a freezer to hide her body. The criminal complaint said that Cumming had been breathing when entering the freezer.

Tincher continued to live in Cumming's house for months with her in the freezer. He later moved the body to a storage unit in March over fears that police would discover the body.

Tincher is being held in a Rome, Georgia prison.
