Louisiana could get its first named storm of the year on late Sunday into Monday.

The National Hurricane Center believes Tropical Storm Cristobal could make landfall on the coast of Louisiana.

The storm is currently battering parts of Mexico.

It is not known exactly where Cristobal would make landfall and there is a possibility it will strengthen into a hurricane sometime over the weekend.
