Record Store Day Will Include Releases From Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters + More

With Record Store Day 2019 just six weeks away, the organization has shared its list of this year's releases. Among the hundreds of special-edition pressings are 5000 copies of Foo Fighters “Big Me” on 3'' vinyl , 4500 copies of Gorillaz “The Fall,” 6800 copies of Green Day's “Woodstock 1994,” 7000 copies of Greta Van Fleet's “From The Fires,” 3500 copies of Mumford & Sons “Delta Acoustic Sessions Live From Electric Lady,” My Chemical Romance's “The Black Parade Is Dead,” 6000 copies of Pearl Jam's “Live At Easy Street,” and 905 copies of The Struts “Young & Dangerous.”

As Variety points out, the 3" record is not just new to RSD this year, it's a new medium in general. With the help of Crosley, record stores around the country will also be selling mini turntables to play the tiny records pressed by Foo Fighters, along with Third Man Records and Rancid's punk roster.

Record Store Day 2019 goes down on April 13, with Pearl Jam reigning as this year's ambassador.

"Pearl Jam is honored to be Record Store Day’s Ambassador for 2019," the band's guitarist Mike McCreedy said in a statement. "Independent record stores are hugely important to me, and have been ever since I was 12 years-old. Before I even really knew what they were -- there was a certain feeling of 'this is a dream come true,' and it's a wonderland and there's so much to learn in here… and it's still that way.""Support every independent record store that you can. They're really a good part of society," he continued. "Know if you love music, this is the place to find it. And it helps people who work here and that's important, too. And it kind of takes an effort, you have to look for something that you want; you have to talk to people. I had to talk to people to figure out which Aerosmith record to get first or anything back in the day. It's a place to learn. It's a place to have fun. And it's a place to discover new music."
